Minority entrepreneurs are facing unique barriers to business success. At SCORE, we are working to change that by removing those obstacles and providing minority-owned businesses with access to personalized support in our SCORE for All program: to meet business owners where they are and help them reach their business goals. As a mentor, you will use your industry-based knowledge and expertise to help clients solve problems, increase business efficiency, and assist with developing business plans. Mentors have significant experience within their field, excellent communication skills, and the ability to dedicate a few hours a week. Topics, where minority-owned businesses need support, include (but are not limited to): finance, accounting, human resources management, website management; social media and digital marketing skills; taxation, and specialized finance skill. If you have a few hours per week and want to share your specialized expertise with a local small business owner, become a SCORE Mentor. Complete your Volunteer application at www.score.org/volunteer. SCORE is a nonprofit resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration that helps aspiring and existing entrepreneurs succeed. Volunteering is a way for you to give back, network with business experts, and share your knowledge. Join SCORE today to make a meaningful difference in your local community .
