SCORE San Diego is a volunteer business mentoring and educational organization that operates throughout San Diego County. While partially funded by the federal government through the SBA and by program revenues, SCORE must raise about half of its funding from the community. We are looking for one or two experienced grant writers and/or fundraisers to help our Fundraising Chair submit yearly grant applications to existing donors and identify and make contact with new sources of funding. The volunteer should be able to donate several hours of time per month, however the time and location of volunteering is entirely flexible.

SCORE needs bi-lingual mentors who can help aspiring entrepreneurs and existing business owners whose first language is not English by providing business expertise, support, and the necessary tools to help them reach their goals. As a mentor you will use your industry-based knowledge and expertise to help clients solve problems, increase business efficiency, and assist with developing long-term business plans. Mentors often have significant experience within their field, excellent communication skills, and the ability to dedicate a few hours a week. Every SCORE chapter depends on the talent and time of volunteers to help entrepreneurs achieve their dreams of small business ownership. We’re currently looking for volunteers to work on specific projects.
