Our mission is to enable the next generations of Cebuanos to rise above challenges of poverty by giving them access to better education, livelihood training, and health programs. We want to help them lead better lives in the future.
Rise Above Foundation Cebu has been making a difference since July 4, 2008. It started with a small group of missionaries who came to Cebu last 2000 and wanted to make a difference in the middle of all the neediness that they saw in the city. They were moved with compassion that they chose to stay and focus on working towards a long term solution against poverty.
Now, the foundation operates daily with different programs such as;
Dental Missions
Medical Missions
Education Sponsorship
Food Sharing programs
Volunteering programs
Livelihood training
Free Dental Clinic
Toothbrushing program
And a lot more.
We run our two centers, the Family Care Center and the Community Center where we do a lot of our activities for kids and women.
We usually alter our programs based on our volunteers' skills so that volunteers can share whatever skills they have to these children. That will create a better volunteering experience and a more lasting impact on the community.
There is so much to do and the volunteers' help has been a huge part of our success for the past years. The work is great but we have very limited manpower and resources, therefore, we need volunteers to take an active part in promoting this cause.
