Mission Statement

To preserve, protect and restore the Yuba River Watershed.

Description

SYRCL has three main programs designed to protect the Yuba Watershed.
The Yuba RiverKeeper is an aggressive volunteer monitoring program to track and prevent pollution and degradation throughout the Yuba Watershed. This program is also focusing on restoring the wild runs of salmon and steelhead to the upper Yuba Watershed.
SYRCL's Yuba Science project is working for flood control through sound watershed management and restoration.

RiverTeachers program educates students from the headwaters of the Yuba River down to the ocean in Salmon education and water conservation education.
