I would highly recommend ASHE Arts & STEM to anyone looking for volunteer opportunities. Whether you’re looking to volunteer a few times a year at events, or for a more ongoing role, ASHE provides a a space for you to make a difference in local communities for kids looking to partake and excel in the Arts and STEM programs. ASHE provides student scholarships, holds giveaway events for things like backpacks and school supplies, and offers young artists a space to exhibit their art and build upon their growth intellectually and professionally for years to come. As a volunteer, you’re given the opportunity to bring your specific set of skills to the organization, learn and build upon your experience in that space. If you follow directions well, a good team player, seek to learn and excel in working individually as well as part of a team, you will do great here. And of course the best part is the feeling of accomplishment when giving back to your community.

Ashe Arts and STEM is an exceptional organization with an exordinanary mission. As a person that stands on the value of the importance of representation- I appreciate that this organization is helping BIPOC students in multiple areas within: arts, sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. I learned about the mission of ASHE when I was brought in as a volunteer consultant. This organization is small but mighty and truly held up on the shoulders of amazing, dedicated volunteers. I'm excited to see the future of this organization and all the other committed volunteers that come on board.

I had a great time volunteering with Ashe Academy for a back to school drive. Instructions were clear, guidance was available when needed and they also fed us! They provided the students with necessary school supplies for the students, free books as well as dental supplies! I recommend volunteering with Ashe Academy as they are truly making a difference in the community.

I volunteered at the Ashe Academy school supplies drive last August, and it felt great to make sure that so many kids would have the supplies they needed to start the school year right. Shout-out to Crystal for organizing everything so smoothly!

This is a small but mighty team with an important mission! Everyone has been a joy to interact with and I have learned so much from working with this smart group of people. How impressive is it that this organization is run by an all-volunteer group of working professional women?! This small non-profit does A LOT with so little and they are literally trying to empty the ocean with a teaspoon. I am here for it! The work that they do and their mission are important, and I am happy to work in any way I can to help this organization to continue to grow.

I was so excited to volunteer as a graphic artist for Ashe Arts & STEM's 2023 Mentors and Mimosas gala. I've always been passionate about using my art to support important causes, and this was a great opportunity to do just that. I was responsible for designing all of the promotional materials for the event, including the invitations, flyers, and social media graphics. I also created the artwork for the event program, art catalog, and the silent auction items. I had a lot of fun working on this project, and I'm really proud of the final results. The event was a huge success, and I'm glad that I was able to play a small role in making it happen. I am now working on the 2023 Back to School Community Fair (Aug 2023). I am looking forward to shaping the look and feel of this event and will continue to help Ashe Arts & STEM anyway I can!

I was referred by a friend at Trinity Lutheran church. I am impressed by the organization's mission to provide scholarships & mentoring to BIPOC students pursuing careers in the arts & STEM fields. They are working to create a more inclusive future for the arts & STEM fields. As an admin assistant, I worked on the Back to School event in August 2022. We distributed over 250 backpacks to students in need. I also had the chance to meet some of the parents, who were incredibly grateful for the support. I helped with the plan for the recent 2023 Mentors & Mimosas gala. This event was a huge success for Ashe Arts & STEM! I was able to help with a variety of tasks, including setting up the venue, & greeting guests. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to volunteer with Ashe Arts & STEM. The organization is doing important work to support BIPOC students in their pursuit of higher education. I would encourage anyone who is interested in making a difference to get involved.

Unresponsive organization, rude communication when finally responded.
