Description
Child Advocacy Center of Oklahoma County. A task force was formed in 1991 to bring this model of child advocacy to Oklahoma. We work as part of a multidisciplinary team to help the child/family get healing , resources, and justice. Our services include Forensic Interviews, Family Advocacy, Medical Exams, Referral Services, ROAR Abuse Prevention Training for children as well as Recognizing and Reporting Abuse for adults. In 2017 we served 1964 children and 1623 adults. At The Care Center we are committed to preventing child abuse through education and helping children find their voice and heal after abuse.

Children are extremely vulnerable and need caring people to look out for them. I would be proud to be counted as one, and volunteering would give me an idea on where and what I want to maste in graduate school.
