i love animals and i need community service hours

I've been volunteering for Saving Sage Animal Rescue in various capacities for about 5 years. The organization is 100% volunteer led and run; with the exception of the Veterinarians, no one is paid. We all do it because of our love for animals. There are so many organizations that squander money donated for needy people or animals on staffing, it is extremely refreshing to be part of such a committed group of volunteers who do this valuable work for the sole purpose of helping animals!!! It's said in rescue circles that "helping one animal won't change the world, but it WILL change the world for that one animal." We get paid in wagging tails and purrs, and it's deeply satisfying. I can honestly say I get back -- in fulfillment -- more than I give in hours.

It is a very welcoming environment and it is easy to get comfortable in. Everyone is very communicative and willing to provide.
