Patient Visitors needed for Hospice Patients

Volunteers are part of the hospice care team. As a Patient Visitor, volunteers will visit patients in a private residence or facility to provide companionship, socialization, emotional support, engagement in activities, or a supportive presence. Volunteers can share a skill such as playing an instrument, singing songs, completing crafts, helping patients catolog photos or document their life stories for their loved ones, or simply provide a quiet and reassuring presence. The role may include support of the patient's care giver or family through active listening, empathy, and/or respite care.

Everest Hospice is looking Veteran Volunteers to support Veteran's at end of life, and/or in the community. Volunteers visit a patients in their home or facility of residence and participate in outreach and events such as pinning ceremonies. The unique experience of being a veteran can only be truly understood by another veteran. As a We Honor Veteran's partner, Everest needs your help to educate and support Veterans on end of life care.

Administrative Volunteers for Everest Hospice

Administrative Volunteers assist in the day to day work of the hospice office. Volunteers may be assigned a specific task to complete each time they volunteer, or assist with multiple tasks. Tasks may include: Scanning, filing, phones, or preparing materials for community outreach. Each task is important and supports the hospice in staying compliant, meeting deadlines, and ensuring patient charts are current.

Everest Hospice is a Hospice in the West Valley looking for compassionate volunteers to provide emotional support, empathy and other forms of assistance to terminally ill patients and their families. Volunteers are an integral part of this Hospice program and we are anxious to add new members to our team to enhance the lives of our patients and provide respite for their families.
