Our Legacy.Callaway Gardens, a man-made landscape in a unique natural setting, was conceived and created by Cason J. Callaway and his wife, Virginia Hand Callaway, for the benefit of mankind. The purpose is to provide a wholesome family environment where all may find beauty, relaxation, inspiration and a better understanding of the living world. Callaway Gardens, a public, educational, horticultural and charitable organization, is owned and operated by the non-profit Ida Cason Callaway Foundation.
Description
It takes a lot of hands to keep a place as vast and intricate as Callaway Gardens running smoothly. Our corps of dedicated volunteers help us in almost all areas of operation. And we have just the right job for you! Our volunteers work in the garden, conduct tours, help out in the office, work with mailings, prepare for and help with events, provide information to guests, distribute literature and much more. Their assistance is valuable and appreciated. To find out more about volunteering at Callaway Gardens, please fill email us at info@callawaygardens.com or call the Volunteer Office at (706) 663-5034.
