At Gentiva Hospice, we are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our volunteer team. Volunteers have the opportunity to provide companionship to our patients, either in their homes or at nursing facilities, allowing caregivers to take a much-needed break. Activities may include holding hands, reading stories, singing, or simply engaging in conversation. There are no physical requirements, as volunteers are not involved in lifting or transferring patients. Instead, the focus is on offering emotional support and companionship.

Here at Gentiva Hospice we are looking for loving, caring people who love to help. We need volunteers who would like to go into the patients' homes and sit with the patient while the caregiver takes a break. You can hold their hand, read them a story, sing to them, just enjoy talking with them. There are no physical requirements you do not do any lifting or transferring of patient. Volunteers are not allowed to be in direct care of the patient.
