Mission Statement
Make effective and efficient use of resources allocated. Train, certify, and deploy volunteers nationwide. Provide Disaster Relief, Responder Support, and Search and Rescue response services at no cost to survivors or responders. Provide ongoing education in all aspects of the Emergency Management Cycle, including a national preparedness outreach program. Research advance Search and Rescue technologies, severe weather, natural & manmade disasters, and implement mitigation as appropriate. Provide emergency communications (EMCOMM) to afflicted areas, including cellular signal boosters and satellite capabilities. Implement the Incident Command System, integrating and collaborating with local, state, and national organizations and agencies. Provide "Always-On-Call" specially-outfitted. All-Hazards Response vehicles and highly trained Task Force members. (Rapid Response) Fulfill the roles of various Emergency Support Functions (ESF’s) as appropriate.
Description
U.S.V.E.M. is a Non-Government, Not-for-Profit, domestic humanitarian "All-Hazards" organization driven by highly dedicated and trained volunteers.
National Incident Management System and Incident Command System utilized, fully implemented. NIMS/ICS Compliant per DHS Guidelines.
