Interfaith Board Members for Samaritan Counseling Center Hawaii

We are seeking energetic, interfaith board members who are committed to mental health and want to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families who are uninsured, underinsured, elderly, and low-income. If you are passionate about mental health, able to be an advocate in your community, responsible (the board meets approx. every other month by Zoom; and meets for an in-person retreat in January), and willing to help with community relations, fundraising, and/or grant-writing, consider becoming a board member for Samaritan Counseling Center Hawaii. By joining our board, you can build strong relationships with other interfaith board members and supporters, gain leadership experience, and learn more about the healthcare industry. Samaritan Ambassador

We are looking for people with a passion for mental health and who want to help improve the lives of children, individuals, and families in Hawai'i. This is a great opportunity to share your experience and knowledge about mental health issues. By becoming a Samaritan Ambassador, you can help people receive the counseling they need and spread awareness about mental health services. Become a Samaritan Ambassador. We’re looking for people who have an interest in mental health and interested in joining a Committee to help with planning events, promoting fundraising campaigns, and spreading awareness about the importance of mental health. Become a Social Media Ambassador . We’re looking for people who have an interest in mental health and are willing to regularly write social media posts (graphic and text) for our social media pages, and/or share news, events, and stories on your own social media. It doesn’t have to be related to our Center, but it should be positive and respectful. Mental health video. You could record a short (15 sec-1 min) video testimonial about the importance of mental health and counseling, and why you are passionate about it. With your permission, we could share your video on our social media. Help at the office. You could volunteer at the office 2-4 hours one morning or afternoon a week or every other week to help with filing at our main office in Honolulu. We also do mailings 3-4 times per year, and would welcome your help!

Samaritan Counseling Center Hawaii provides professional and accessible mental health counseling that incorporates the spiritual traditions of individuals, families, and communities in Hawaii. We offer individual, family, and couples counseling, as well as clergy and congregational care. We are a nonprofit organization and have been serving Hawaii communities since 1989.
