Mission Statement
The mission of the Volunteer Service Council of the El Paso State Center is to enhace and contribute to the quality of life of the residents with developmental disabilities of the EPSC, by benefiting the residents and working with and supporting their families, volunteer, and staff through advocacy and fundraising.
Description
El Paso State Center opened in 1974. The 20-acre state supported living center is home to approximately 115 individuals with intellectual disabilities and behaviors that are court-appointed.
The center employs approximately 265 people. The centers director is Mr. Kevin Ward, Catchment area El Paso County.
To improve community engagement and family relations for the residents of the EPSC.
Recruit and maintain volunteer service, coordinate special events, Secure external funding opportunities, public presentations and facility tours for community. Engage with community partners and keep family members informed on activities occuring at the center to obstain family satisfaction and encorage family participation.
