Thrift Shop Volunteer

Blue Ridge Hospice volunteers are some of the most important members of our team. Thrift shop volunteers are needed to assist with receiving, sorting, tagging and displaying donated items. We have Thrift shops located in Winchester (2), Berryville, Purcellville, Stephens City, Front Royal, Leesburg, and Strasburg, Virginia. Proceeds from Thrift Shop sales support the care and support of our Blue Ridge Hospice Patients. As a hospice volunteer, you can make a life-changing difference! Sign up today! Administrative Support Volunteer

As a non-profit, Blue Ridge Hospice relies on help from volunteers! Volunteering with us is a great way to give back and make a difference in your community. Administrative Support Volunteers assist in our Winchester locations. This includes, but not limited to; reception, medical records, manning the phones in our central office, filing, copying, data entry, charting, and other similar activities. Tuck-in program volunteers are needed to make calls to our patients and caregivers each week to ensure they have everything they need for the weekend. It’s just one more way we stay connected to those who depend on us for care. As a hospice volunteer, you can make a life-changing difference. Sign up today! Patient and Family Support Volunteer

Patient and Family Support Volunteers provide support to hospice patients and their family members. Volunteers provide companionship, caring presence, and assistance with errands in the patient's home, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and in the Blue Ridge Hospice In-Patient Care Center. Volunteers also provide respite relief for caregivers allowing them much needed time to rest, take a break, or run errands. We also provide companionship through Pet Therapy. Completion of the Blue Ridge Hospice Training Program is required for all patient-related volunteer roles. This is a rewarding volunteer experience through which you will make a direct, positive impact on the life of a Hospice patient in your community. Sign up today! Not-for-profit Hospice providing end of life care and bereavement support in the counties of Frederick, Warren, Clarke, Shenandoah, Page, and Western Loudoun Counties in Virginia. We provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to those with life-limiting illness; our primary focus being physical comfort and symptom control, dignity, and choice. We offer ancillary services such as Music Therapy, Pet Therapy, Massage Therapy, and full Chaplaincy and Bereavement Programs. Volunteer opportunities range from direct patient/family support to administrative, thrift, and fundraising.
