Description
The WARREN REUTHER CENTER is a private operating foundation, privately funded, and committed to not using taxpayer dollars. We are based in Blissfield, MI and do our work primarily in southeast Michigan and northwest Ohio. We have only been around since January 1999, but we have a track record of service through our staff that extends back two decades. Words used by others to describe us are "think tank", "policy center", "education support team", "community action agency", "fund raisers", "project coordinator", "volunteer center", "partnership facilitator", and just plain "nice folk." Our focus is on developing individuals of all ages in society who are qualified, productive, and principled. Since we don't feel it necessary to re-invent the wheel, we seek to work in partnership with stakeholders in business, education, government, religion, and even the family to accomplish mutual goals. To achieve our mission the WARREN REUTHER CENTER proposes to:* Assist schools to succeed in their mission to educate students and prepare them to be qualified, productive, and principled* Facilitate parterships between educators, employers, parents, and community leaders for mutual benefit* Provide students with opportunities to interact with people in real-life employment settings* Promote and encourage the continuance of traditional moral, economic, and spiritual values in society* Support and encourage conservative, traditional value, free enterprise policy and policy makers* Enhance education outcomes and positive community impact without the support of tax dollars* Encourage the desire for life-long learning and the ability to think critically and creatively.
