Mission Statement
To reduce the cycle of homelessness for working individuals and families whose wages present financial challenges for homeownership by providing knowledge and education towards credit improvement; setting the stage to alleviate housing barriers with affordable home placement.
Description
Advocacy to Alleviate Homelessness, Inc. (AAH, Inc.) is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization established to address the housing needs of our community. Our goal is to alleviate homelessness by assisting working individuals, families and veterans whose working wage does not allow the opportunity for affordable homeownership.
Our services include three (3) key components:
-Credit Program- credit review and assistance
-Budget Program- financial counseling and goal setting
-Victory Program - temporary hotel shelter (pending available funding)
Our programs provide the financial and educational resources needed to help our clients attain a manageable, more sustainable credit history and a budgetary plan designed to promote financial gain and long term stability.
When a client feels cared for and believes that building a true and lasting relationship comes from a genuine place, self-esteem builds, internal and external barriers are alleviated, and the core cause of homelessness is revealed.
Getting to the heart of the matter, making a difference that impact the lives of our clients and the community will require more than words on paper, and words out of mouth, it will require solid evidence; proof of one's dedication to the cause.
