Position Overview: As a Digital Content Curator Intern at Awaken Pittsburgh, you will play a pivotal role in promoting our mission and increasing our impact. You will work closely with our marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies that effectively communicate our values and programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a cause that makes a difference in people's lives, while gaining hands-on experience in non-profit marketing. What can you expect to do in this role? (Essential Duties) Review and select high-quality content from our video archives. Edit and repurpose videos for use on various social media platforms and in email newsletters. Develop a content calendar to ensure a steady stream of compelling content. Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with broader promotional strategies. Analyze engagement data to understand audience preferences and adjust content strategies accordingly. Stay up-to-date with social media trends to keep our content fresh and relevant. We expect this position to require 5-8 hours per week. About You: Proven experience in video editing. A strong interest in mindfulness, meditation, and the mission of Awaken Pittsburgh. Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience in social media management or email marketing. About This Role: As a Facebook Coordinator Intern at Awaken Pittsburgh, you will play a pivotal role in promoting our mission and increasing our impact. You will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy for the Facebook platform in order to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts. The Facebook Coordinator Intern will help market our programming, manage our Facebook platform, and work with our marketing team to actualize our marketing plans and strategies. About The Position Awaken Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced professional to join its Finance committee. Working closely with Awaken Pittsburgh’s Executive Director, Treasurer, and Board, the new Board Member will serve on the finance committee to help oversee the monthly finances of the organization, grant accounting, provide quarterly updates for the board, and support the annual budget, review, 990 and BCO-10 reporting. About You Knowledge of/connections within the Pittsburgh region. Experience in either finance/accounting/bookkeeping. Familiarity with MonkeyPod, a plus. Previous community engagement or partnership development work is a plus. Able to foster and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including community partners, Executive Director and Board members. Able to think and act strategically with an eye on the "big picture" of a dynamic, future-focused non-profit organization. Volunteer Webmaster About Awaken Pittsburgh: Awaken Pittsburgh is a small nonprofit that works to transform lives and systems through mindfulness-based social and emotional regulation practices. About this position: Awaken Pittsburgh is looking for a Webmaster who can remotely maintain and update our website and server. You will be responsible for ensuring our WordPress site (utilizing the Brizy platform) stays up-to-date and secure, while making improvements to maximize performance and minimize downtime. You will be regularly updating our website, fixing broken links and images, improving page load speeds, and creating backups. The Webmaster will also implement new designs for the website and work with designers on the best approach to implementation. What can you expect to do in this role? (Essential Duties) Implementing requested changes to the Awaken WordPress website by: Creating new pages and posts using Brizy website builder Editing existing content Writing custom code when standard widgets do not meet the current need Updating and managing user permissions Uploading and embedding media into webpages Creating and implementing forms Updating global assets such as headers and footers Working within an existing custom WordPress template Adding and modifying global tags for Google Analytics and other third-party applications Fixing broken links, images, etc. Collaborate with marketing team on implementing relevant code for ad campaigns Collaborate with designers to agree on a design for the website Ensure website usability by using different devices, browsers, and operating systems Monitor, analyze, and report on website uptime and downtime Analyze and implement changes to improve site performance Support making the website ADA compliant and fully accessible Troubleshoot website and server issues as needed Average time commitment: 2-5 hours per week About You: Background in Computer Science, Design, or another related field Previous experience using WordPress, WordPress plugins, and Brizy Comfortable working with custom WordPress templates and writing custom code Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or other graphic design software Basic understanding of web analytics and SEO Proficient in HTML and CSS Knowledge of Javascript and PHP Excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Benefits: Flexible work hours and remote work options.
