CASA workers fulfill a gap when I child is removed from the home to foster care. The advocate speaks for the child and that child’s best interest. I really enjoyed this job when I was a CASA in the early 2000’s. I was never under the delusion that I could make the child’s life perfect, I simply saw myself as a bridge to a safe place for them.
