I volunteered at CareCHOICES as an administrative volunteer and highly recommend this organization to any new or seasoned volunteers. The staff is very friendly. If you attend class or work, they are very flexible and accommodating. Also, they will work around your skills and preferences when assigning tasks. There's zero pressure on you. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to CareCHOICES. I was a college graduate who struggled to land a job in today's market. However, they were kind enough to write me letters of rec, act as a professional reference, and give me glowing reviews. I honestly believe they put me above my applicant pool of 500+ to secure a full-time government position for the County. I say with confidence that you will gain relevant professional experience here that you will not find working random retail/service jobs especially if you're looking to expand your resume and open your opportunities in admin, healthcare, HR, therapy, etc. Try it out! Overcome the struggle.

I sewed cheerful pillowcases for CareChoices and the person handling volunteers on their end, Jeannie, was super great to deal with. The organization even offered to pay for the materials, which I happened to decline as I was using materials I already had. I was also impressed with how quickly she responded initially and also that she followed up to confirm my package arrived safely. I definitely intend to assist this organization again!
