About Us: Happy Life Animal Rescue is on a mission to provide loving forever homes to dogs and cats in need. Our success depends on the generosity and involvement of our community, and we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our Fundraising Team. By organizing creative fundraising campaigns and exciting events like our annual Pawsitive Strides 5k Fundraiser, you’ll help ensure we have the resources to save more lives. Position Summary: As a Volunteer Fundraising Team Member, you will be an integral part of our efforts to raise vital funds for our rescue operations. Working alongside a passionate team, you will help plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of fundraising campaigns and events, both large and small. Your creativity and dedication will directly impact our ability to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome more animals. Key Responsibilities: Assist in brainstorming, planning, and executing fundraising campaigns that inspire community involvement and support. Help organize and manage events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale fundraisers like the Pawsitive Strides 5k. Collaborate with other team members to develop promotional materials, secure sponsorships, and engage with local businesses and donors. Participate in outreach efforts to attract volunteers, participants, and donors for our campaigns and events. Contribute to the creation of compelling stories and content that highlight the impact of our work and motivate donations. Monitor and evaluate the success of fundraising activities, providing feedback and suggestions for future improvements. Requirements: Passion for animal welfare and a strong commitment to Happy Life Animal Rescue’s mission. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Creativity and enthusiasm for developing new fundraising ideas. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work well in a team and independently. Previous experience in fundraising, event planning, or marketing is a plus but not required. We are looking for passionate volunteer photographers to join our mission and help showcase our furry friends in the best light. Position Summary: As a Volunteer Animal Photographer, you will play a crucial role in helping our animals get adopted. Your captivating photos and videos will be featured on our website, social media, and various adoption platforms, helping potential adopters fall in love with our animals even before they meet them. Key Responsibilities: Photograph and film our dogs and cats, capturing their unique personalities and characteristics. Edit and enhance photos and videos for use on our website, social media, and other promotional materials. Collaborate with our marketing team to create engaging and heartwarming content that tells the story of each animal. Maintain an organized archive of photos and videos for easy access and use. Occasionally assist in setting up photo shoots, ensuring the animals are comfortable and safe. Requirements: Passion for animals and a strong desire to help them find loving homes. Experience with photography and videography; professional experience is a plus but not required. Own photography equipment (camera, lenses, cellphone etc.). Basic photo and video editing skills. Patience and the ability to work calmly with animals, capturing their best moments even if they’re a bit wiggly or shy. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Position Overview: As a Volunteer Kennel Assistant at Happy Life Animal Rescue, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our furry residents. This hands-on position involves caring for the animals in our kennels, helping maintain a clean and safe environment, and providing the love and attention these pets deserve while they wait for their forever homes. Key Responsibilities: Feeding and Hydration: Ensure all animals are fed and have fresh water throughout the day. Cleaning and Sanitizing: Regularly clean kennels, bedding, and surrounding areas to maintain a hygienic and pleasant environment. Exercise and Socialization: Take dogs for walks, provide playtime, and interact with cats to keep them active and happy. Monitoring Health: Observe animals for any signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to staff. Grooming: Assist with basic grooming tasks such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming. Restocking Supplies: Help keep food, cleaning supplies, and other necessary items organized and stocked. Qualifications: A love for animals and a strong commitment to their well-being. Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments. Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and cleaning. Dependability, punctuality, and a positive attitude. No prior experience is necessary, but previous experience with animals is a plus. Time Commitment: A minimum of 3 hours per week, with shifts available both morning and evenings.
