ABOUT US: GIRLS OF TRANSFORMATION MENTORING PROGRAM (GOT) is a 501(c)3, non-profit and faith-based, charitable organization that serves girls between the ages of 8-18. Services provided are group mentoring, one on one mentoring, life skills training, career readiness, financial literacy, biblical truth for teen, etiquette, power pack workshops for both the parents and youth, afterschool program, summer program, parenting program, and a 12-Week Saturday program. RESPONSIBLITY: GOT is seeking (4) high school or (4)college students to volunteer part-time to tutor and help students with their homework for our Girls with Purpose After School Program. The ideal volunteers will assist Lead Teacher in every capacity which includes helping students with their homework, light tutoring, and providing academic instructions to students in grades K-8, youth mentoring, and assist with academic and enrichment activities. Volunteers must be proficient in English and Math with a minimum GPA of 3.2. Our afterschool program hours are Monday-Friday from 2:00-6:00pm, starting August 17, 2022 to June 7, 2023. We are flexible with your schedule. Our volunteers must be a positive role model. Must be able to pass a level II background check if working more than 10 hours a month. Volunteers will receive volunteer hours for all services rendered on our professional letter head and a professional reference letter. Volunteers will have the opportunity to volunteer for other programs with the possibility to be hired part-time. GOT's other programs are: Girls with Purpose Summer Mentorship Program and our 12 Week Saturday Girls with Purpose Mentorship Program. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY FOR LOCAL FLORIDA RESIDENCE IN MIAMI-DADE AND BROWARD COUNTY ONLY. CHARACTERISTICS: We're currently seeking 4 mature high school or college students that demonstrates the following organization characteristics neat and professional appearance, honest, punctual, reliable, loves working with children, knowledgeable, energetic, kind, positive attitude, and creative. A qualified volunteer will demonstrate passion for students to learn and excel academically.

Girls of Transformation Mentoring Program, Inc. (GOT) is looking for board members! GOT is a faith based, growing, grassroots organization that needs the help of tenacious and passionate change agents. We wish for all potential Board members to be passionate about contributing to an environment that fosters a youth-friendly, trauma-informed, positive-youth-development-invested organization. We also appreciate Board members with the following areas/professions of interest: Licensed Health Care professionals, especially those in private practice or with experience serving in a community capacity. This includes Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, PA's, Physicians, etc. Individuals experienced with advocacy-related activities Mental Health and substance abuse personnel Those experienced or educated in non-profit management.
