Want to become a fundraising star?
Tri-City Volunteers is searching for dynamic and creative individuals with lots of enthusiasm to help fulfill our mission of eliminating hunger in the Tri-Cities Area of Fremont, Union City and Newark. Last year, we gave out over two million pounds of food to well over 5,000 households. We know food, but not fundraising, so this volunteer position is our most critical!
Create connections and build your own network as you help build ours. Learn new marketing skills. Build your resume by producing results and meeting goals. Develop leadership skills as you make a visible impact on our organization.
You will report directly to the Executive Director and be given greater responsibility than the typical volunteer. As Fundraising Coordinator you will:
- help produce and manage marketing campaigns to our donors
- create advertising for our thrift store
- help plan and run special fundraising events
The ideal person would have previous fundraising/marketing experience, but passion and a willingness to learn are just as important. Organization and computer skills are a must. We are asking for a commitment of 6-10 hours a week with just 4 of those in the office; the rest can be done remotely.

Description
Tri-City Volunteers (TCV) Food Bank + Mobile Pantry is a non-profit organization that provides food assistance to the residents of Alameda County. We are the largest client-direct food bank in the Tri-City area. We serve up to 1,500 FAMILIES EVERY WEEK through our emergency food drive-thru distribution and Mobile Pantry Programs. With a small staff, a dedicated volunteer force, and a budget of around $600,000, we are extremely efficient in distributing over 5 MILLION POUNDS of food annually. TCV is open Monday for volunteers to pack food bags from 9:00am to 3:00pm. The drive-thru distribution is open Tuesday through Friday, 9:30-3:00 pm. TCV is closed on the weekends. TCV does not have any remote volunteer opportunities at this time. Minors must have parental consent to volunteer at the food bank. Minors who are 14 or 15 must also be accompanied by a parent/chaperone over the age of 18 at all times. TCV does not allow volunteers under the age of 14 years old at this time.
