Do you love to THRIFT? Love to hunt for unique finds? AND help support those in need and our community at the same time? If yes, you have found the perfect volunteer opportunity! The Not New Shop is a one-of-a-kind thrift shop that supports UnityPoint Health - Iowa Lutheran Hospital and the patients and families we serve. We pride ourselves in being a clean, beautiful and fun shop with the BEST volunteers and customers!

We are looking for volunteers to help with receiving, sorting, pricing, merchandising, ringing up customers and providing outstanding customer service. Shift opportunities vary and we are flexible with your schedule. A six-month time commitment is required.

Please note, all volunteers must complete a screening process prior to joining the team which includes:

• Placement Interview and Orientation
• Volunteer Handbook Review
• State of Iowa Background check
• National Background check (if applicable)
• Health Screening
  • Covid and Flu Vaccination Required
  • Tuberculosis (TB) Test
• Adults commit to a minimum of 6 months
• Undergrad/Graduate students commit to a minimum of 2 semesters
