Volunteer assistance is needed to help us sign in, welcome and coordinate volunteers on the construction sites. This opportunity is available on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Where do Site Hosts fit in? Site Hosts are most often the first person that volunteers meet when they arrive on site. Site Hosts are responsible for greeting the volunteers and making sure they feel welcomed and comfortable. For many of the volunteers being on a construction site is a new experience and can be very intimidating. Site Hosts explain the electronic registration process, if volunteers have not registered for the event prior. Site Hosts also help to keep an inventory of the site box and support materials.
Why do we need Site Hosts? As a Site Host you will help us to track volunteer hours (which is necessary for grant writing), as well as volunteer recognition and retention. Site Hosts can often set the mood on site and should help to foster an all around positive environment. Please contact Volunteer Services at 512-472-8788 x 106 or email us for more information.
