Playful Patient
Bea, 92 years old. Loves basketball and a good joke.

Good Shepherd Hospice would love volunteers to sew/create Remembrance Bears for our patients! Remembrance Bears are a Special Keepsake to our patients families dealing with a loss of a loved one. Our sewing volunteers use a special piece of clothing that belonged to the patient that can be made into a Remembrance Bear. It can be a shirt, dress, pants or bathrobe. This bear is a treasured keepsake for wives, grandchildren, or other family member who would like a huggable reminder of the person that they love. It is such a wonderful gift to our patients families! If you have the talent of sewing, and the willingness to help others during a difficult time, please contact Christa Cook, Volunteer Coordinator and help touch families in special, creative ways that they will always remember.
