Volunteer tutors work one-to-one with adult literacy students, helping them improve their basic reading and writing skills, and achieve their learning goals. Volunteers gain valuable teaching experience, develop a powerful connection with another lifelong learner, and become part of a community of learning in Berkeley.

Berkeley Builds Readers - Conduct monthly/weekly storytimes at local preschools.

Basic Math tutor - Familiarity with basic math. Ability to teach basic math to students in a small group setting.

Health Literacy - Provide assistance in monthly workshops.

Instructional Computer Lab tutor - Assist students in learning basic computer skills.
