It is important that we communicate with our supporters, our potential adopters, and our volunteers. We need volunteers to write articles for the local papers, help with newsletters, and take pictures of our animals at our adoption events, our fundraising outings, and our educational activities.

Mission Statement
The Humane Society of McCormick County was formed to help McCormick County, South Carolina residents and animals. The HSMC is comprised entirely of volunteers whose mission is to prevent cruelty to animals, to provide shelter and care for lost and unwanted animals, to implement educational programs and services, to place animals in humane environments, and to promote responsible pet ownership including spay and neuter. The HSMC is always looking for dedicated, animal-loving volunteers.
Description
The Humane Society of McCormick County is an all-volunteer, no-kill animal rescue. McCormick County has no city or county-run shelter. We are completely dependent on donations, fundraising, and private grants to support our efforts to save the lives of homeless dogs and cats in our community. We are a non-profit so donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. We offer a low-cost or no-cost spay and neuter program for any dog or cat in our county in an effort to humanely reduce the number of unwanted and abandoned dogs and cats.
