Touching Lives. Lifting Spirits.

No driving necessary for our Onsite Transport Escort position. Help us provide our mission of enriching the quality of life of older adults (seniors) by escorting our residents and patients to their on-site appointments. Having volunteers escort our residents in a friendly and timely manner greatly reduces the stress and frustration residents can feel when they have to wait for staff.

In addition, help get residents outside to enjoy some fresh air but taking them out to th gardens, especially on nice days.

Contribute on a flexible schedule:

  • Come as little as twice a month
  • Volunteer a two or two and a half hour shift
  • Morning or afternoon hours available

This opportunity is also great for those interested in nursing, social work, physical therapy, just to name a few.

Our volunteer partners make all the difference. Giving of your time is sure to bring joy to the lives of our older adults and surely to yours!

Mission Statement

The San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living's Mission is to enrich the quality life of older adults.

Description

Since 1871, operated by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, we have served approximately 1,800 patients and residents each year in our Jewish Home & Rehab Center, located on the nine-acre San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living. Non-residential care is offered through our short-term and rehabilitation services unit for patients who require geriatric-specialized, interdisciplinary rehabilitation to recover from surgery or an acute illness, and through our acute geriatric psychiatry hospital. We are affiliated with the University of California, San Francisco for teaching and research. Admission is not limited by religious or cultural affiliation.

As a U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services five-star rated facility for care and with a complement of close to 650 compassionate, experienced clinical and allied health personnel, San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living provides seniors with a variety of life-enriching healthcare programs and services in a welcoming, stimulating environment.

We are part of Jewish Senior Living Group, a growing regional network of programs, services, and communities that enrich the lives of seniors. We serve people of all faiths, cultures and ethnicities.
