With the current national health emergency, we are recruiting for only a few volunteer assignments:
- Escort - assist with the transportation of patients throughout the medical center
- Patient Reminders: assist staff with reminder calls for patient appointments and other healthcare information.
- Office volunteer: assist with basic office assistance - answer phones, filing, etc.

Description
The VA Voluntary Services (VAVS) program at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center works to supplement patient needs with the use of donated dollars and volunteers. The Detroit VAVS accomplishes this through a variety of activities, programs and comfort items.
