ORGANIZATION: Family Eldercare

Hands
Connect with an isolated older adult.

Family Eldercare's Lifetime Connections Without Walls is a telephone activities program that provides isolated and lonely older adults an opportunity to connect with others in their community and across the country. We provide social and educational sessions, support groups, and friendly conversation - all over the phone - all from the comfort of home.

This volunteer opportunity involves leading a session. We can assign a session topic to you or if you have a topic that you're knowledgeable or passionate about, we can create a new session. We'll work together to plan it out, but you'll be in charge of creating the content and format of the session. Yay, full creative control!

The time commitment is up to you. We create four program schedules per year (winter, spring, summer, fall). Each quarterly schedule includes about 13 weeks of sessions. Your commitment can range during those 13 weeks depending on how often you'd like to facilitate a session, e.g. weekly, monthly, special series (2-3), one-time only.

This volunteer opportunity is completely virtual and can be done anywhere. All you need is a telephone, computer, and internet connection.
Training and ongoing support provided.

Please visit our website to view our catalog of sessions and to better understand how the program works: https://www.familyeldercare.org/programs/lifetime-connections-without-walls/.

Thank you so much for considering this opportunity and we hope to hear from you!
