You can be part of the story of transformation at the former Badger Army Ammunition Plant!
See pre-scheduled dates and RSVP: https://volunteersignup.org/TBA9K
(We can also work with your schedule for a church group, class, corporate team, etc.)
The Alliance has been lovingly restoring a patch of remnant (original) prairie in the DNR-owned portion of Badger since 2005. We are also helping the DNR with two new restoration projects. Work includes cutting and piling brush, pulling weeds, and monitoring the progress of the sites.
Bring your own drinking water and wear long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy shoes. Tools and gloves are provided, but you're welcome to bring your favorite pair of gloves. We meet at the Museum of Badger Army Ammunition, just inside the gate along Highway 12.

The DNR portion is open to the public for various recreation activities.
The property also features the Museum of Badger Army Ammunition and the Great Sauk State Trail, a popular bike path.
