The Kid Street Learning Center (KSLC) is a charter school and after school program that was developed to provide a holistic approach to helping children. KSLC brings about the opportunity to develop trust from within the child to empower him/her to believe that they are special in their own way, that their present situation is a circumstance beyond their control and not a life style of their choosing. Kid Street Learning Center (KSLC) provides a free after-school program and other opportunities to all children (from low-income families to families needing the general help of the 3pm-6pm time frame)who attend our school. The KSLC program is offered every weekday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday) at our location in Railroad Square. Our center serves nearly 140 children, from Transitional kindergarten through 6th Grade. Besides helping children, you also get job experience. This is a way to get involved with the community, and have a lot of fun at the same time. Also we are always looking for different areas where you can help-so if you don't see something you want to do-email me a new area of interest.
