Interested in helping in your own community? Help save lives through the collection of vital blood donations.
Stanford Blood Center is looking for volunteers to help at community mobile blood drives in the Bay Area. In most cases, we can place you at locations within 10 miles of home or work.
We are looking for volunteers with good customer service and communication skills to assist in our canteens. Volunteer will be socializing with our blood donors, make sure they are comfortable, serve refreshments and monitor them for possible medical reactions, alerting nursing staff if a reaction is suspected.
Mobile blood drives are scheduled 7 days a week . We work with flexible schedules.
Great need for volunteers with weekday availability for 3-4 hour shifts between 9am-4pm.
Must be able to volunteer 4 hours once a month, and commit to one year.
