Volunteers are needed to assemble craft kits for children in hospitals. Craft kit ideas are on our downloadable link under arts and crafts on our website at www.caitlins-smiles.org/volunteer. Volunteers donate their own craft supplies and chose whichever craft kits that they would like to donate.
Two kits in demand are bookmark kits - either color your own bookmark or foam bookmarks with stickers. Especially needed are gender neutral kits that will easily work for boys or girls (sea creatures, zoo animals, farm animals, etc).
Foam bookmarks and stickers are sealed in a ziplock bag. Children in hospitals can then make their special bookmark. All supplies needed to create the kit must be sealed in the bag.
Color your own bookmarks can be ordered online or purchased at craft stores. Include 2-3 crayons in a ziplock bag with each bookmark. Children in the hospital can then decorate their own bookmark. They are fun "grab and go" kits.
Samples are on our website at www.caitlin-smiles.org/volunteer. A "we Hope You Have Fun" insert goes in each bag. That can be downloaded also off our website.
Completed kits need shipped or delivered to Caitlin's Smiles, 3303 North 6th Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

Description
To provide pediatric patients with Creative Art Care Packages which promote activities such as drawing, creative writing and sculpting.
