Become a literacy tutor and teach an adult to learn how to read!
Help teach English to an adult who speaks another language!
Help prepare an adult for their GED or Citizenship exam!

Description
CCPL's literacy program offers the following services to adults in Cabarrus County:
1. Reading and writing assistance to English speakers
2. Teaching English to non-native English speakers
3. U.S. Citizenship interview and exam preparation
4. Reading groups for inmates at the Cabarrus County Detention Center
(We also built and maintain an inmate library within the Detention Center, staffed by Literacy Services volunteers.)
