ORGANIZATION: Lenox Hill Neighborhood House

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House is a 131-year-old settlement house widelyu recognized as one of New York's premier human services providers. Founded in 1894 as a ree kindegarten for immigrant children, the Neighborhood House now serves 16,000 people in need each year through a wide array of effective and integrated services --social, educational, legal, health, housing, mental health, nutritional and fitness.

We are seeking volunteer musicians and singers to perform in a small group setting in CARE, the Neighborhood House's day program for older adults living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Volunteers are needed to preform once per week on Wednesdays. 1:00-2:00. this is a great opportunity to share your love of music in a therapeutic environment.

Description

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House was founded in 1894 by the Alumnae Association of Normal College (now known as Hunter College of the City University of New York) as a free kindergarten for the children of indigent immigrants. Since then, we have remained at the forefront of community advocacy and social and educational change.
