STEM Education and Innovation Center (STEM EIC) is looking for Mentors for Girls to reach their higher potential. Let's see them sore!
Technovation is the world's largest technology entrepreneurship competition for girls. Our free program equips girls aged 8-18 with esstial skills for a successful future. As a Mentor, you'll help them develop leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration skills while becoming part of a global community of students and professionals creating technology for good.
This volunteer role is ideal for teachers, after-school providers, nonprofit staff, and industry professionals passionate about bridging the gender gap in STEM!
Mentors guide a team of 1-5 girls through the season, helping them learn coding, entrepreneurship, and real world problem solving.
Technovation provides all necessary training, curriculum, and support. No tech experience is required to volunteer!
Season kicks off January 18th, 2025. We will providing Mentor Training, Coaching, field trips to V-Tech in March, project building materials, gift card for your time. All Mentors will be recognized at the End of the Year Celebration May 10, 2025.

Description
STEM Education and Innovation (STEM EIC) is a non-profit 501c3 organization that has been serving youth in the Stafford and Fredericksburg area for 10 years. Since its inception, STEM EIC has offered unique opportunities for youth involvement through Afterschool STEM/CTE Career Readiness Clubs, Mentoring, Workshops, Camps on Technology, and Student Internship Opportunities, STEM Competitions and Events. STEM EIC programs are part of an effort to help close the gap of the number of underserved youth pursuing STEM careers. STEM EIC has responded to these gaps in STEM education by providing many exciting opportunities to local students who traditionally have not been well represented and exposed to STEM.
