Are you a Veteran or passionate about giving back to Veterans?
We are a Level 4 We Honor Veterans' Partner. Volunteers are a crucial part of providing social and emotional support. compassion, and companionship to our Veterans. Our program utilizes volunteers who are Veterans themselves, and they create a special bond sharing their experiences of military service to other Veterans.
- Direct Patient Care: Provide companionship to our Veterans on service. Assist with recogniton/ pinning ceremones for our Veterans.
- General Support - Assist team with our Veteran-to-Veteran Cafe's at our local facilities. Assist with Veteran Centric educations in the community.
We cover all of the Bayou Region from Franklin to Thibodaux, we can find an opportunity for you close to home!

Description
Heart of Hospice Volunteers are an asset to our team as our volunteers provide a multitude of services:
- Administration- Provides office support for direct patient care. (mailing, filing, creating patient/teaching material)
- General Support- Program support by assisting with community events, such as assisting in decorating and planning as well as being creative to design arts and crafts for our patients.
- Patient Care- Provides in-person activities and companionship. (reading, yard work, listening, animal care, cooking...etc.)
- Bereavement- Provides in-person support to the bereavement program. (assist with arrangements after death, agency memorial services, write letters to the families)
