Hi,
Thanks for your interest in volunteering. Volunteers are a integral part of a hospice team and are another set of eyes and ears. They can provide more companionship and friendship to the patient, support to the family so they can have some time to relax, play games, read, talk, listem to music and stories.
The difference starts when someone with compassion opens their heart and takes the stop to say I want to volunteer and reaches out to us.
We would love to have you become part of our team and provide a safe, comforting service to our patients.
Hospice volunteers can also help in other ways such as bereavement and administrative duties in the office (we are located in Farmers Branch)
