The Habitat ReStore on Evangeline Thruway is a 27,000 sq. ft. home improvement retail outlet and an important part of the Habitat Lafayette ministry. New and gently used building materials, cabinets, appliances, furniture, lighting and accessories are donated by local individuals and businesses. The items are then sold to the public at reduced prices. Items that would typically end up in a landfill are given a second chance!
Many of our donations can often be ready to sell with a little sanding, a screw, or a minor repair. With a little help from some talented volunteers, we could not only raise more money to build Habitat homes but save furniture from cluttering our landfills. Would you like to volunteer with us? We are available five days a week (Tuesday-Saturday), year-round.

Description
Lafayette Habitat for Humanity (LHFH), one of more than 1,700 U.S. affiliates of Habitat for Humanity International, is a Christian ministry that welcomes all people dedicated to the cause of eliminating poverty housing.
Since 1992, volunteers from corporations, faith-based ministries, and civic organizations have worked in partnership with qualified homebuyers to construct affordable, sustainable homes, which are then purchased through zero-interest mortgages.
