Our MISSION is twofold: •A priority is to provide support for our members' professional growth and career enhancement. ​ •Seeking to improve health care & services in communities throughout New York and advocacy for underserved communities in Sierra Leone, Africa. ​ SLNA NYT aims to improve the quality of health care by educating on healthcare disparities such as diabetes, hypertension, malnutrition, asthma, stroke & heart disease, non communicable diseases ,Malaria, thyphoid, HIV/AIDS, maternal- infant mortality, Tuberculosis and other preventable diseases by: ​ ◾Providing medical equipment and supplieshealth care centers. ​ ◾️Health fairs & community outreach on various health education topics ​ ◾Recycling and utilizing surplus medical equipment from the USA to which can be sent Sierra Leone. ​ ​

A 501c3 Non-profit organization comprised of Sierra Leonean Healthcare Professionals who aim to make a difference in the lives of those in need. Through volunteering and community service, the SLNA NYT aims to help the disadvantaged, marginalized, at-risk, and underserved communities.
