The SOMI ArtFest is a free juried art show that takes place in the charming and historic downtown of South Miami on February 22-23, 2025. The festival features over 120 artists from all over the United States and Canada, showcasing their work in painting, photography, sculpture, jewelry, and more.
In addition to amazing artwork, the festival also features local musicians playing throughout the event along with a food court and beer garden. Proceeds from the event benefit the Rotary Club of South Miami and its Rotary Foundation of South Miami for many community service projects.
Volunteering at our locally run charity art festival isn't just about giving your time; it's about being part of a vibrant community celebration that champions creativity. The profits help to fund art programs in Miami-Dade.
As a volunteer, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing this art festival to life. Whether you're passionate about art or simply lending a helping hand, there's a place for you. Engage with artists and guide attendees through the maze of creativity. WHEN: Saturday, February 22, 2025, four shifts from 5:30AM-9:00PM and Sunday, February 23, 2025, three shifts from 9:45am - 8pm
We are seeking customer service-friendly volunteers to assist with tasks ranging from patron surveys to assisting with artist booth set up and take down. Assignments are based on the scheduled shift. A free parking volunteer parking pass will be emailed a week prior to the festival. Please telephone Ellen Book to answer any questions at 305-213-3934.
Age Minimum ( must be with a parent during the entire shift): 14 & 15
Minimum Age independently volunteering: 16+
Must be 21+ to assist in the drink booth. No alcohol is to be consumed before or during any volunteer's shift.
What: The 40th anniversary festival expects up to 25,000 visitors and offers 125 exhibitors.
On Saturday night there is live music onstage until 9:00 PM in the beer garden at 58th Avenue and Sunset.
Where: The festival is located in the heart of downtown South Miami, adjacent to the Shops at Sunset Place. It is held on Sunset Drive (SW 72nd Street) between Red Road (SW 57th Avenue) and US 1.

Our family-friendly two day art festival funds college scholarships for South Miami students, and other local, national, and international service projects.
Description
We serve the community by bringing the arts closer to the local population. From 1984, we have grown to over 150 vendors spanning all four blocks of downtown South Miami. Named by ArtFairSourceBook.com to the AFSB Blue Chip 100 Fine Art Event, the festival is now wholly produced by the dedicated volunteers of the Rotary Club of South Miami and its Rotary Foundation. Our artists come from all over the United States and Canada. The show engages local musicians to play during this juried event.
