Glenmont Gardens and Greenhouse
ORGANIZATION: National Park Service
Please visit the new page to apply.
We are looking for dedicated volunteers to help maintain the plants in the park and greenhouse at Glenmont. The time committment is minimal - a couple hours per week is more than enough - and the work is light and easy, yet still makes a big difference to support the park and plant life.
You will work under the direction of the Facilities & Maintenence division with the assistance of experienced volunteers to water, treat, and nurture the many established botanical species grown in the historic greenhouse. Gardening experience would be ideal. You may have to lift up to 25 pounds of material. Training will be provided on-site, as well as most necessary materials.
We are especially interested in help over the winter period, though plants need care and support year round as well.
