Role Overview: As a Community Engagement Volunteer with Reach for Resources, you will represent our organization at local community events. Your role will involve raising awareness about our programs and services by engaging with event attendees, facilitating fun activities such as spinning wheel or Plinko games, and sharing information about Reach for Resources.

Volunteers will receive comprehensive training to confidently discuss Reach’s mission and offerings. Additionally, you’ll have access to resources to answer common questions and direct people to the appropriate contacts for follow-up. This role offers flexibility, with opportunities to support events primarily during evenings and weekends, as well as some daytime options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Reach for Resources at local community events.

  • Facilitate interactive games and activities to engage attendees.

  • Share information about Reach for Resources’ programs and services.

  • Assist with event setup and teardown.

  • Pick up and return event supplies from the Reach office (mileage reimbursement available).

Qualifications:

  • Enjoys engaging with people and possesses excellent oral communication skills.

  • Punctual, reliable, and dependable.

  • Comfortable navigating to various event locations.

  • Availability for evening and weekend events preferred; some daytime opportunities may also be available.

  • Passionate about making a positive impact in the community.
