ORGANIZATION: NEW MEXICO RAMP PROJECT

The New Mexico Ramp Project (NMRP) is seeking a skilled and organized Staff/Corporate Personnel Manager to join our team. In this volunteer role, you will oversee and manage key aspects of personnel operations, supporting both staff and volunteers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting directly to the Executive Director on personnel-related matters.
  • Managing and overseeing volunteers within your department, ensuring effective coordination and engagement.
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive departmental plan to guide staff and volunteer operations.
  • Collaborating with the Training Manager to develop and sustain a training plan for your department.
  • Managing and overseeing intern programs to ensure proper onboarding and support.
  • Overseeing payroll submissions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Developing and maintaining the content of the personnel handbook to ensure clarity and consistency in organizational policies.
  • Performing key human resources functions, including hiring, firing, and handling internal complaints.

Mission Statement

The New Mexico Ramp Project is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit that provides free ramps for older adults and people with mobility issues across New Mexico. These are identified by local health care providers and organizations knowing the financial and medical condition of the individual. Volunteer labor is used to build the ramps. Ramps are built without regard to race, religion, ethnicity, age or gender.

Our vision is that no New Mexico resident with mobility issues shall lack safe access to their residence because of financial limitations.
