Description
Located in downtown Historic Downtown Campbell, the Campbell Historical Museum is located in Campbell's first Fire Station. Changing exhibits about Home Life, Recreation, Work and Community provide insights into the daily life experiences of Campbell's past. Unique hands-on features at each exhibit will engage and intrigue. The Ainsley House was built in 1925 by John Colpitts Ainsley, a canning and agricultural pioneer. Its distinctive, wooden shingled roof resembling a thatch roof and its English Tudor design with Arts and Crafts influences make it a unique, Historic Home that helps us relive the 20's and 30's. Originally located on the corner of Bascom and Hamilton,
the house was moved in 1989 and re-opened in 1994 to the public
