At Renting Partnerships we are a renting co-op that provides low income renters with a third option to build wealth and stability. The Renting Partnerships model provides many benefits of ownership while keeping housing affordable for new residents in the future. Members earn financial credits, which can build up to $10k by staying 5 years and taking part in management and upkeep. We hold monthly meeting for residents and would like for someone to come talk to our residents about credit repair and ways to possibly get out of debt. We think this is important for people to learn to begin to build wealth.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to develop and own housing as a means for renters to participate in cooperative management, keep their payments affordable and build financial credits. Our pioneering model, Rental Equity, overcomes barriers to wealth building for low income households by not requiring individual mortgages. The nonprofit organization, Renting Partnerships, owns the housing and sustains a unique management system. Leases contain agreements to meet monthly, take part in upkeep and stay at least five years. These actions mitigate expenses in the typical rental housing budget for vacancy and turnover. The savings is used to fund financial credits. Because residents do not have to buy and sell units to build financial equity, they can stay long term, invest themselves in their community and experience transformative growth: physically, intellectually, spiritually, and economically.
Description
Renting Partnerships operates three duplexes and recently acquired a multifamily building which is being rehabilitated to create ten additional apartments. Our model allows people who can't afford to buy a home to build financial assets through participation in upkeep and management. Rents include a fee for a part time community manager for the buildings we own. However, our Director is a volunteer and is seeking administrative support to develop additional housing with this management model. Renting Partnerships is affiliated with Coop Cincy.
