Leader / Side Walker

ORGANIZATION: EQUESTRIAN THERAPIES OF THE PALM BEACHES INC

We are in need of volunteers to facilitate our equine-assisted therapeutic riding lessons. Each rider in our program needs a minimum of a leader for the horse and one side walker to walk along side the rider for additional support, some even need two side walkers. So the need for volunteer support is big. We have up to four horses in one lesson so it can 8 - 12 volunteers just for one class. Horse experience is a plus, but not required, we train all volunteers.

At Unbridled Paths, we are a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) member center that strives to provide the highest quality therapeutic horseback riding and equine-assisted therapy in a stress-free, friendly, and supportive environment. Our programs promote physical, emotional, and cognitive growth and development for individuals of all ages and abilities, allowing them to reach their full potential.

Our programs include therapeutic horseback riding, equine-assisted therapy, and equine-assisted learning, and address a wide range of physical, emotional, and cognitive conditions, including autism, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, anxiety, depression, and so much more.
