Legislative Liaison Most State Capitals Jan 1 til May 30
ORGANIZATION: ProjectLeapfrog.org
Please visit the new page to apply.
You would be the unpaid, part-time hybrid Legislative Liaison near your state capital meaning you would
look on our website for your state, for example, https://projectleapfrog.org/Mississippi/ for sponsors of previous similar legislation.
contact State Legislators or their staff to meet them and get a sponsor or sponsors to introduce our bill for a LIMITED Convention of States to get corporations and money out of politics.
then you would interface with the Draft Attorney who puts our bill into your State's format and
make sure the State Attorney General agrees our bill is legal and supports it in writing
all the while you will keep dated diary-like record of accomplishments to report monthly on the 28th.
This seems like a lot but we have thru May.
Let me know if you want to be a Team Lead or Supporter.

Mission Statement
ProjectLeapfrog.org is a nonprofit geared toward getting corporations and money out of politics, basically reversing Citizens United. Congressional election costs have become six times higher since 2000. Congress is more concerned about reelection than productivity. But nonprofits have been unable to amend the Constitution via Congress for 14 years. Lawrence Lessig of Harvard has said, "A constitutional convention is the one final plausible strategy for forcing fundamental reform onto our Congress." ProjectLeapfrog.org is laser focused on getting states to ask for a "Limited" Non-partisan Convention of States despite some unfounded fear mongering.
Description
ProjectLeapfrog.org is laser focused on getting states to ask for a "Limited" Non-partisan Convention of States despite some unfounded fear mongering. Our common state resolution limits a convention to two topics:
- grant rights to people only (not corporations) and
- grant rights to campaign finance limits .
Our resolution includes a unique "void" clause so our LIMITED Convention Will NOT Run Away!
If any topics, besides our two, are approved in the form of proposed Amendments, then the Convention is void.
We are reusing legislative sponsors from 38 states that passed similar Amendment related bills which allows us to leapfrog other nonprofits.
We have enlisted volunteer legislative liaisons near most State Capitals to get our resolution passed.
