ORGANIZATION: LAKE AREA FREE CLINIC INC

The Lake Area Free Clinic is small non-profit with over 200 volunteers that provide medical care, advice and support to our patients.

We are looking for licensed pharmacists or pharmacy technicians to volunteer in our on-site dispensary. Duties include organizing, ordering, and tracking pharmaceuticals for the clinic. Assist providers and patients with medication questions.

Most volunteers at our clinic are here 1 to 2 times a month for a total of 4 to 8 hours.

Description

Since the doors opened in July, 2001, the Lake Area Free Clinic has welcomed individuals and families who lack health insurance and whose income is below 250% of the federal poverty level. Many of these individuals work full-time, but are either not offered health insurance, or cannot afford the premiums. We service all of Waukesha County, plus the Oconomowoc Area School District.
